We have a charming Bistro which has gained an excellent reputation for serving awesome food with warm, friendly service. Our award winning chef, Brad King serves mouth-watering dishes to impress. We are fully licensed with an extensive bar list which includes an amazing selection of wines, spirits, beer, cocktails and soft drinks.

The Falls Retreat is ideally located in the Central North Island close to Tauranga, Hamilton, Rotorua and Taupo Districts. It’s a great place for corporates to come together and meet for quarterly meetings or special events.

It has a large meeting area with a roaring fire where you can discuss matters of the day, an outside area where you can break out and stunning grounds that you can roam to get some fresh air. Browse the veggie gardens or take a walk to view the Owharoa waterfalls.

Then sit down to a beautiful lunch prepared by our executive chefs. The food uses seasonal organic produce which means our menu changes on a regular basis as our chefs select the finest and freshest ingredients for your plate.

There is also a large carpark that can be used for your guests or it can be used to showcase products such as new car launches or car rallies. And there are lots of activities around the local area if you are looking for ways to team build from eco bikes to gorge walks and fly fishing.

We have a unique rustic property with a romantic pergoda overlooking Owharoa Falls. It is the perfect location for your ceremony and we have extensive grounds providing numerous photo opportunities.

Brad and his team will serve mouth-watering dishes to impress your guests and we are fully licensed with an extensive bar list which includes award winning wines to share with friends.

The barn style dining with its open fire place is in keeping with the rest of the property so whether it's a summer or winter wedding the venue can work to fit in with your plans.

We also have three charming cottages, providing the bride and groom (or guests) with a delightful place to stay (we can even provide a delicious cooked breakfast the following morning).

There is also a great children’s playground should the younger guests need entertaining.

The Falls Retreat is the perfect place for an event or function, be it a special anniversary, a school reunion or a Christmas Party. Our venue is set in a beautiful woodland setting with barn style dining and open fire place. Whether it's a cold winter night or a hot summers evening our venue can accomodate it all.

We specialise in offering unique food experiences including The Festive Feast!

A festive shared style dining experience designed to bring everyone together for relaxed and leisurely meal. Enjoy an amazing 3 course set menu with everyone seated at long tables in our charming barn where the Christmas decorations will be out, the tree will be up and jingle bells playing in the background for a truly Festive Feast! Have fun with our outdoor games and kids playground, explore our kitchen gardens & orchard and enjoy our beautiful property. This is seasonal dining at its finest and you won't want to miss out!

Bike hire - Why not make a day of it and hire bikes to clycle the Hauraki Rail Trail which runs ong the bottom of oureway. Cycles provided with helmets and maps - $55pp
